Programs and Services Boys & Girls Clubs of Hancock County provides a safe haven, adult role models, and a variety of affordable and effective programs that support the educational, emotional, physical, and social development of youth, without regard to social, racial, ethnic, or religious background. BGCHC leverages the expertise and resources of other organizations to broaden our reach and deepen our impact. Our newer reputation for quality program delivery has, in turn, made us a sought-after partner for organizations seeking to provide beneficial programs or services to children and teens. Our Clubs offer programming in five core initiatives: Arts; Education (including technology); Leadership; Life Skills; and Sports, Fitness and Recreation - all of which aim to influence the positive, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and moral development of young people. These efforts provide youth with the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to pursue their dreams and succeed in life. While each core program focuses on specific skills, it is the wide range of developmental opportunities and experiences that makes the Clubs unique and effective. During the summer, we run a summer camp program for children ages 5 to 12 to ensure that youth maintain and further develop the skills and positive behaviors learned during the school year.
Our Locations Across our county, youth need safe places to spend after-school hours, caring adults who can serve as role models, and affordable programming that helps them gain confidence and acquire skills. Our 2 Clubs in The Boys and Girls Clubs membership fee of just $25 annually per child provides access to all age-appropriate programs and services offered by our Clubs. |
